Senior Equity Technical Accounting Project Manager
General Position Summary: Supports the monthly close process. Prepares certain accounting records and provides account analysis. Prepares analysis of various entities and subsidiaries of the company in a timely manner, maintaining compliance with internal control policies. Provides day to day accounting and finance support. Provide support to other departments within the division as requested/needed. Essential Functions: 1. Provides proper analysis for Option Accounting, restricted shares, FAS 123r, hedge/FX accounting and 7 plus years joint venture accounting. 2. Prepares and provides the first level fluctuation analysis of the consolidated financial statements (balance sheet, income statement) monthly. 3. Understands and maintains the black scholls model. Works with outside experts to ensure compensation plans are being correctly implemented. 4. Assists in maintaining and improving the reporting mechanism. 5. Prepares selected journal entries including maintaining those associated with equity accounting. 6. Evaluates reasonableness of the Corporations accruals and takes corrective action if necessary. 7. Maintains and improves complex spreadsheets. 8. Prepares assigned balance sheet account analysis. 9. Supports requests for information related to the annual outside audit. 10. Performs analytical review of overhead expenses and other areas of the business during month-end close. 11. Provides support on SEC filings and disclosures. 12. Assist in financial systems conversions as necessary; specifically equity edge. 13. Implement Equity Edge and train staff within the organization. 14. Participate in special projects as required. Marginal Functions: 1. Special projects as assigned. Qualifications: ? Bachelor s degree in Accounting or related field. ? 7 plus years Equity Accounting experience including Joint Venture Accounting background.
